Matthew 28:19–20 is key for our continuing effort to equip
students with leadership skills needed to serve church and
world. There is an important connection between the church
and its colleges and universities. The Missouri Synod needs
to continue looking forward into the future. The Ablaze!
movement is a great example of this; its results to date are a
wonderful testimony to the Holy Spirit’s action in hearts and
lives. The colleges and universities of our church must continue to prepare students for full-time service in the church if
we are to fulfill the goal of planting 2,000 new congregations.
