into “prescriptions” for re-engineering the financial future of
Lutheran schools. Dave continues to serve the Association
of Lutheran Secondary Schools, National Lutheran Schools
Accreditation, LCMS School Ministry Cabinet, Concordia
University Texas—Board of Regents, GENESIS (consultant), SSAC (consultant), National Lutheran Schools Funding

Lutheran schools and school leaders across the nation.
I have believed and was taught to be open to what God asks
(1 Sam. 3:10), “Speak for Thy servant is listening,” as I pray
everyone in our Synod is when God calls (Isaiah 6:8), “Here
am I. Send me!” With the gifts and talents God has given me,
I believe that I can help to continue the spiritual development
and high quality academic excellence for which Concordia
Austin is known. I believe my six years as a member and officer of its board and as an executive committee member of a
$100 million RSO has prepared me to serve.

Concordia University—Austin has
just begun to explore the possibilities of what might be the future for
a Concordia University system. As
a current-term BOR member, I have been fortunate to witness
the superlative leadership that has made this vision come to
life. I would be honored to continue to participate in developing and deploying that vision.

While remaining dedicated to
raising up the next generation
of professional and lay leaders of the church, Concordia
University has the wonderful opportunity to boldly share the
Good News of Jesus Christ with all students through biblically
sound teaching, worship, and fellowship. Fiscally sound entrepreneurship will help the school improve and change to meet
needs and expand enrollment while holding on to the best of
the present and past.

As a graduate of an LCMS school
who has spent my career in public higher education, I would like to assist with the continued
growth and development of Concordia University Texas. My
education at Concordia Seward has had a positive impact
throughout my career, and I believe that our LCMS universities must prepare people for service both as church workers
and in other occupations by offering a quality education
that incorporates our Christian values. I will use my experience to help Concordia University Texas to provide such an
education.
