Lutheran Synodical Conference, 1958 69
The kingdom of God has continued to grow in this community.
he year of 1957, there were 15 souls baptized and 4 confirmed:
ildren, and 1 adult. This year, 1958, 11 were baptized on Palm
Sinday, and 6 on the Sunday following Ascension. There are 5
ndidates for confirmation. The average attendance for Sunday
ool is 40. We also had 100 children attending our vacation Bible
nool.
Christ Congregation, Rosebud, celebrated its 40th anniversary
4th Sunday in May, 1958. There were more than 450 people
Mhat attended. This was a glorious occasion on which many hearts
ere filled with love and gratitude to God for the true light of the
pel which has been so plainly taught in our church and Chris-
day school.
The spirit in which this work was begun still exists among the
ithful few.
Gethsemane, Hamburg, did a fine job of painting and beauti-
ing its church last summer. Although the congregation is small
number, the spirit is high in carrying out the Lord’s will.
Efforts toward consolidation of these small congregations,
ckerville, Hamburg, and Rosebud, are_ being considered to
engthen their efforts of carrying out the Lord’s work.
May God continue to grant His blessing upon the work in our
midst! M. J. Cuark
