On Friday, June 30, in the evening, Pastor G. Schick preached in the
upper church on 1 John 5:4: "This is the victory that has overcome the
world: our faith." Theme: The victory of Christ over the world, for us
and in us.

Past. Th. Wichmann preached that same evening in the lower church on
Rom. 9:33. Theme: Jesus Christ, the cornerstone of the church of God —
he is 1. to some a rock of offense unto damnation; 2. to some a rock of
salvation unto eternal blessedness.

On Sunday, July 1, the 3rd Sunday after Trinity, worship was held in
both churches together with confession [Beichte] and celebration of
Holy Communion. (The preachers of this day, however, did not
communicate any notes on their sermons to the secretary.)

May God preserve for us the preaching of his Word pure and unadulterated,
and the administration of his holy sacraments undiminished and
unimpaired!
