To Transfer Trinity, Hudson, Wis.
from North Wisconsin
to Minnesota South District
Wuereas, Hudson is considered to be a part of the St.
Paul-Minneapolis metropolitan area:
a. Hudson is 15 minutes from downtown St. Paul and
30 minutes from downtown Minneapolis;
b. Approximately 70 percent of the people living in
Hudson work in Minnesota;
c. The television we watch and the newspapers we
read are from St. Paul-Minneapolis; hardly any Wiscon-
sin daily newspapers are delivered in Hudson; no televi-
sion channel from Wisconsin is available to us; and
Wuereas, The Minnesota South District office is a 30-
minute drive from Hudson; the North Wisconsin District
office is a 3%-hour drive from Hudson:
a. We are on the fringe area of the North Wisconsin
District; we would be a part of the core area of the
Minnesota South District;
b. It would be less costly and less time consuming for
us to attend District meetings and other activities and
for the District personnel to serve us;
c. The services of the District office would be more
readily available to us;
d. We would be able to take a more active part in
District activities and meetings:
e. The District camp in North Wisconsin is a 4-hour
drive from Hudson: the District camp in Minnesota
South is a 14-hour drive from Hudson; therefore be it
Resolved, That Trinity Lutheran Church, Hudson,
Wisconsin, be transferred from the North Wisconsin
District of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod to the
Minnesota South District of The Lutheran Church—Mis-
souri Synod.
