Ever since the Budget system has been in operation, Mr. C. W.
Toenes, a member of our Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Greensboro
and a professional accountant, has checked all our accounts during
the school year periodically and submitted financial statements
to the College Board. Although on our recommendation the Mis-
sionary Board desired to remunerate him for his work, he has
generously declined. “The work which I have done can hardly
compare with that of so many of you, performed well beyond the
call of duty month after month, and often with less appreciation
than I have received. We are all fortunate, too, to have the serv-

to forward the work of the Church in this important field.” We
who have benefited by his unselfish labor are most grateful, and
we pray that the Lord may give us more Christian laymen of this
character. We add that Mr. G. Kramer, architect of St. Louis, who
manifested such an interest in our building project, likewise de-
serves our sincere appreciation and regard.
In concluding this biennial report the College Board gratefully
acknowledges the many divine favors with which Immanuel Col-
lege has been blessed and is appreciative of the fine co-operation
which it has always received from the Missionary Board of the
Synodical Conference. Tue Cottecr Boarp

evening service was added, church attendance fell off sharply, and
the financial picture became rather dark. But since the 11:00 A. M.
service has been added to the 8:30 A.M. service, lost members are
