Ev. Luth, Synodical Conference of North America, 1954 127

Arkansas (listed in the order of their Negro Population rank). In

ese States we have too few Negro Pastors. Surely under God's
blessing the Christian day school can be very productive in pro-
viding a well-indoctrinated Negro ministeria] recruiting means for
more ministers of the Gospel,

is doctrinal, inspirational, and informative. Its circulation should
be multiplied. Delegates to the Synodical Convention are urged
to give this Paper more publicity in their respective areas,

In Heartfelt Gratitude

To our many friends throughout the Synodical Conference,
who have freely and willingly invested in Negro missions, we say,
“Thank you! God grant the increase on your investment. The
Srace of our Lord be with you.”

Our many mission friends should also be assured through
their delegates that the Missionary Board has always proved itself

eager to give Support, counsel, and aid in every way possible.

Executive Secretary, Dr. Karl Kurth. It is well that mission work
in the Deep South is carried on by a Board which is representative
of the entire Synodical Conference, It requires generations to bring
UP a people strong in the saving faith; therefore close supervision
should continue to be provided.
