the past years and was graciously blessed by the Lord. The decrease
in work among immigrants was more than counterbalanced. by an
increase of work in connection with relief work in Europe, so that it
became necessary to have an assistant for a time. Since it proved
_ nwise to continue renting a house for the missionary, a dwelling was
purchased. During the past years a surplus of $10,000 was turned
over to the Synodical Treasury.
