THE LUTHERAN PIONEER 51
being prepared for membership. There are bright
prospects for another class equally large or even
larger.
As we sit back and see our chapel nearing com-
pletion and behold the interest and enthusiasm dis-
played on all sides, we cannot but think and thank.
God has been good to us, and that in the midst of
trying times. He is blessing our work, and we are
confident He will also bless our many Christian
friends who have so loyally supported the cause of
our colored mission in Buffalo. I. R. P.
An Outlook from St. Paul’s,
Lutherville, La.
St. Paul’s Congregation at Lutherville, La., was
permitted to enter another year of grace by God’s
great mercy. <A retrospect of the past year brings
recollections to its members of their many failures
and shortcomings; but they do not forget how
God dealt with them according to Tis grace and
mercy and not according to their sins.
In spite of the depression with which our country
has been divinely visited and which has been felt
more keenly here than in any other section of the
Parsonage at Lutherville, La.
Union, our members are not despondent, but are
fortified in the knowledge of the Savior’s pro-
viding care.
The attendance at both the Sunday and the mid-
week, or Lenten, services is good. Our people are
not only hearers of the Word, but they endeavor to
crucify the old man so as to be also doers of the
Word. They are now doing more for the Church
than they did before, in spite of the depression.
