Policy to Next Synodical Convention

RESOLUTION 1-51

Wuereas, The Board for Higher Education has re-
peatedly been reminded of the request to develop pol-
icies on faculty housing purchase and to report to the
Synod; and

WHEREAS, The Board for Higher Education, its Ad-
visory Council, and the Board of Directors have studied
this matter without arriving at a conclusion; therefore
be it

Resolved, That this request and reminder be re-
peated with the urgent plea that this resolution be
honored at the next convention of the Synod.

Action: This resolution was adopted.

Wuereas, Good stewardship demands wise planning
and cooperative consultation in the expenditure of funds
for capital investments at synodical schools; therefore
be it

Resolved, That the Synod approve the classification
of projects and the tabular listing as recommended by
the Board for Higher Education and revised by Com-
mittee 1; and be it further

Resolved, That the Synod authorize the Board for
Higher Education to recommend to the Board of Direc-
tors cf the Synod whatever adjustments within these
listings of allocation priorities other actions of this con-
vention or unexpected circumstances and developments
in the intervening years make necessary or desirable.
