Wuereas, God has graciously granted our church an

is to consist of the District President, two pastors, one
teacher, and three laymen to serve until the second

Wuereas, The Synod has determined that the closely
articulated high school-junior college-senior college-
theological seminary route continues to be the preferred
program of distinctly theological education of The Lu-
theran Church — Missouri Synod; and
Wuereas, The establishment of a junior college in
Southern California is only a further step in promoting
this program in the western part of this country; and
Wuereas, The desirability of strengthening the
existing schools of our system on the West Coast and
the prospects for expanding this system in that area
seem evident; therefore be it
Resolved, That the Board for Higher Education in
conjunction with the local board of control and faculty
study the question of continuing the functions of Cali-
fornia Concordia College, Oakland; and be it further
Resolved, That the Board for Higher Education
study the feasibility of a high school department for
preministerial students in connection with or separate
from the new junior college in Southern California;
and be it further
