Convention Year-Book, 1928. Edited by Erwin Um-
bach. 126 pages. The Walther League, 6438 Eg-
gleston Ave., Chicago, Ill. Price, $1.00.
This publication contains the complete proceedings,
programs, reports, sermons, addresses, and many other
matters of interest pertaining to the Thirty-sixth Inter-
national Convention of the Walther League, held July
15—19, 1928, in the Municipal Auditorium at Milwaukee,
Wis. Pastor Miller’s sermon in the opening service was
a moving appeal to the Leaguers always to abound in the
work of the Lord, and Missionary Henkel’s sermon in the
inspirational service on “A Changeless Christ for a Chang-
ing World” was a ringing call to arms. ‘The various ad-
dresses and reports presented during the convention and
reported in this Year-book must have had an inspiring
influence on the Leaguers gathered in Milwaukee, an ir-
spiration which they will be sure to have carried with
em into their home congregations. Every Walther
League local society should own a copy of this book.
Leaders who are called upon to address young people’s
societies or preach sermons on young people’s work will
find this Year-book very helpful.
