Session 9
July 18, 2007
Afternoon Devotion
President Gerald Kieschnick called on convention chaplain Dean Wenthe to introduce the devotion leader, Dr.
Philip Campbell, Executive Director of the Board for Black
Ministry Services. In his meditation, “Applauding for Life
in Christ,” Dr. Campbell recalled applauding soldiers in the
St. Louis airport on their way to Iraq, applauding in hope
that they were marching off to war with Christ in their
hearts.
Minutes
The chair called attention to the minutes of Sessions 4
and 5 printed in the Wednesday edition of Today’s Business, pages 383–391. After asking for corrections and hearing none, he declared the minutes approved as printed.
