direction of the 1973 synodical convention, appointed a
Task Force on Women which was continued by the 1975
synodical convention; and

the task force for its accomplishments by adopting its
recommendations:
1. That since the entire structure of the Synod is
now under study and piecemeal changes are to be
discouraged, the Bylaw changes suggested in the
task force’s 1975 report (CW, 1975, pp. 62 f.) be
forwarded to the Task Force on Constitution,
Bylaws, and Structure;
2. That responsibility for studying the issues
relating to women in the church and society be
assigned to the CTCR and its Social Concerns
Committee and that particular attention be
directed to the workshop proposal (see II, Goal 1,
d, of this report);
3. That the whole church be encouraged to sensitize
itself to the needs and concerns of women, to
recognize the gifts that women are and can be in
the mission of the church, and to utilize fully all
the people of God as the church carries out its
witness and ministry in the world; and be it
further
