increased from year. to year. To advance the interest of the school
the Lutheran Education Society of California was organized. In |
a short time this Society purchased five acres, valued at $11,300,
and presented it to the District free of debt. In 1911 the District
erected a building of reinforced concrete on this plot at a cost of.
$35,000. Thus the California and Nevada District has a college.
property valued at $50,000. The enrolment of students has reached 40,

Thus encouraged, the District and its Board believe it to be in
the interest of Synod to elevate this school to the rank: of our other.
