The elective boards of the Synod shall be:

A Board for North American Missions

Board for European Affairs
Board for World Missions
Board for Stewardship, Mission Education and Promotion
Church Extension Board
Board of Parish Education
Board for Young People's Work
Board for College and University Work
Board of Appeals
Board for Support and Pensions
Board of Directors for Concordia Publishing House
Board on Convention Nominations
Board for Higher Education*
An Armed Services Board*
A Board of Social Welfare*
A Board of World Relief*
A Board for Lutheran TV Productions*

All other officers, commissions, committees and departments of the Synod shall
be appointed as follows:

A Commission on Fraternal Organizations
A Commission for Services to the Mentally Retarded
A Commission on Worship, Liturgics and Hymnology

An Executive Secretary of Medical Missions
