OMNIBUS RESOLUTIONS
RESOLUTION A
Rationale
More than 500 overtures and numerous reports have
been presented to this convention of the Synod for consideration, discussion, and possible action. It is obviously not
possible, within the time constraints of the convention, to
thoroughly discuss every issue, nor is it economically feasible to conduct a convention of unlimited time.
Furthermore, many overtures request action that is the
responsibility of various boards, commissions, or individuals to study and to implement.
Resolved, That the following overtures be placed in Resolution A and be referred to the designated board, commission, or individual:
