7. The revision of the charter of od, which was: authorized at the 1950
convention, came up for discussion. Mr. Kuenne told of his efforts to get the
Weperation of Mr. Eigel in the matter. He agreed to write to Mr. Eigel for the

8 There is always a demand for a "model" constitution for congregations
and articles of incorporation. The Committee was of the opinion that it is not
feasible to set up a constitution for any number of congregations which would be
generally acceptable. Certain paragraphs could be set up as models to be adapted
tjplocal conditions. In setting up articles of incorporation, competent legal
advice should be sought, since the laws of the various States must always be
considered.
9. Mr. Kuenne reported that he had answered a number of letters on
constitutional matters, where individual congregations asked for such advice.
10. Attention was called to a nemgipi.al page 482f of the 1953 Proceedings,
regarding representation on the Boliea of Directors from all parts of Synod. This
matter was to be taken up by the Camittee on Constitutional Matters. All members
were asked to study this plan so that we can report on this at the next synodical
convention.
Adjourment followed with the Lord's Prayer spoken in unison.
