Iowa East (Ag. 12): Prevallet
109. Current Roster Problem (Ag. 13): The Secretary reported that he will wait with drafting the bylaws
for this item until closer to convention time. This will also enable the Council of Presidents to make any
further revisions in its thinking.
109a. Pastor Terminology (Ag. 15): Since the Council of Administrators does not seem to be interested in
pursuing this subject, the Commission resolved to drop the item from its agenda.
110. Designation of Official Conferences (Ag. 16); It was agreed that this item could perhaps be taken up
at the next meeting.
111. Congregations Demitting (Ag. 19): Luessenhop will report to the next meeting.
112. Question of Reinstatement (Ag. 23): It was stated that this could perhaps be combined with Ag. 13.
113. LCUSA Terminology (Ag. 27): Mueller reported that the Interchurch Committee had accepted the
principle that the church bodies should name and not merely nominate members of the standing
committee of LCUSA. Thereupon the Commission decided that it could drop this item from its agenda.
114. Rights of Members (Ag. 275, Milwaukee Resolution 5-31): This Milwaukee convention resolution
asked the Commission to decide whether a detailed statement on the rights of members should be added
to the Handbook and if so to draft a proposed statement. The Commission decided to report to the
convention that in its estimation no such detailed statement tees necessary.
115. Lay Ministers (Ag. 276): The Council of Presidents has not yet submitted bylaws to the CCM for
consideration.
116. Woman Suffrage (Ag. 277): No further word has been received from the CTCR concerning this joint
study required by Milwaukee Resolution 2-17.
117. Adjudication Process (Ag. 280): Milwaukee Resolution 5-14 called for the appointment of a
committee with representatives from the CCM to evaluate the new adjudication process. Mueller reported
that this committee has now been appointed but will not meet until further opportunity has been given to
test the new regulations.
118. Lower Voting Age (Ag. 284): With the understanding that the Commission would remember this
convention action (Res. 7-04) in issuing any new Guidelines for congregational constitutions it was
decided to drop this item from the agenda.
119. Sample Constitutions (Ag. 293 and 298): Some such samples have been received for consideration
by the Commission.
120. SELC Membership on Concordia Historical Institute Board: The letter from August Suelflow was
noted and the Commission decided to remind the CHI to submit a proposal to the convention but to share
it with us previously. It was decided that this matter could then be removed from the agenda (Ag. 297).
121. Commission of Adjudication (271 A): President Heckmann of Texas had asked whether the District
needed both a Commission on Adjudication and a Board of Appeals and how these were to be
constituted. The Secretary had relayed to him the requested information and the ruling of the CCM that
present District Boards of Appeals were to continue to function until the next elections as Commissions
