Tuesday Afternoon Session
195, The afternoon session was devoted to a consideration of the
paragraphs relating to the Board of Directors of the Synod as these para-
graphs had been formulated by the Joint Committee.
196, Before the close of the session the following suggestions were
noted as reflecting the thinking of the Committee on Constitutional
Matters:
A. It would be better to have the Board of Directors for
Concordia Publishing House elected rather than appointed;
B,. It would be better to have the Board for Stewardship,
Mission Education and Promotion elected rather than
appointed;
C. It might be preferable to speak of a ''Board for Parish
Education" rather than of a "Board of Parish Education",
D. Inthe section referring to ''Uniform Nomenclature", it would
be well to rephrase paragraph 4 containing the definition of
a "BOARD,"
