184, The Committee now began a review of a report of the Joint

Committee,

185, Paragraph 1,21, "Authority of Delegate Convention", came
under consideration and it appeared that one sentence "it shall establish
policies, programs and procedures to carry on the Synod's work" had
inadvertently been omitted from the manuscript. After some discussion
it was agreed that this sentence should be added; however, Board Member
Jersild expressed the opinion that the first sentence of this Section which
read 'The Delegate Convention of the Synod shall be the chief legislative

assembly of the Synodical membership" would be quite sufficient,

186, Adjournment for the evening,

Monday Evening Session

187, The Committee continued its review of the report of the Joint

Committee,

188, It was agreed that an attempt would be made to find a better
wording for paragraph 2,13, "Accountability of Officers, Board, Com-

missions, and Committees, "'

189, The balance of the evening session was devoted to a discussion

of items contained in the report of the Joint Committee,
190, Adjournment followed.
