Eckhardt's Homiletisches Reallexikon, 1907–1917

A cumulative subject index to seven Missouri Synod periodicals, compiled by E. (Ernest) Eckhardt (1868–1939) and printed at St. Louis between 1907 and 1917. Under each headword it sets numbered theses, and beside each thesis the places where the periodicals had treated it — by volume and page, running twenty years past the last of Der Lutheraner's own registers. Where the archive holds the volume a citation names, the citation below is a link to that page.

The alphabetical run is here in full, Abendmahl through Wunder, assembled from five scans: two archive.org items, a pair from Google Books that closes what had looked like a gap in the middle of the alphabet, and the archive.org tail. With it are the Beichtreden appendix, Eckhardt's own printed Register, and the separate 1913 treatise Die Schule, bound in with the later volumes and kept here under its own heading.

3. Die Gnadenwahl dient dazu, daß, wenn wir im Glauben ſtehen, wir ihn nicht wieder verlieren, fſondern bis ans Ende beharren. Die richterliche Apolikation ſetzt das alles ſchon voraus, ſo daß der Troſt dieſer Lehzre verloren geht; 7 nicht eine Vorwegnahme Anticipation) des Urteils, »lches Gott am jüngſten Tage fällen wird. Ohio. Anm. Das alles (a bisef) wäre gar keine Wahl. Ecloge; J. nicht eine bloße Muſterung: dieſer ſoll ſelig werden, ner nicht, wie ein Küchenmeiſter beſchließt, eine Anahl Hühner zu würgen, andere laufen zu laſſen. Anm. a. Die Wahl iſt nicht bloß eine Verordnung sottes zur Seligkeit, ſondern zur Seligkeit durch den Glauben an Chriſto. Darum iſt der ganze Weg zur Seligkeit: Berufung, Glaube, Rechtfertigung, Heiligung (die 8 Punkte), ſoweit es die Auserwählten trifft, mit in- dieſe Handlung Gottes eingeſchloſſen. gonk. S 13—24.
