At 1:30 PM the meeting adjourned to meet with Dr. A.L. Barry in Room 111 of the Convention Center. Dr
Barry conveyed his feelings that in view of the Commission’s refusal to withdraw its opinions of March 6
and July 5, the Board of Directors will probably memorialize the convention to overrule the Commission in
accord with Bylaw 3.905(d). He is concerned that such an action would be the first time the Commission is
ever overruled by a convention and that this would open the door in future years for similar actions
regarding other opinions.
At 2:00 PM the members again went into session to discuss the concerns of Dr. Barry and explore other
possible solutions to the problems created by the Commissions opinion regarding 1992 Resolution 8-01A.
The Commission adjourned at 3:00 PM to allow the chairman to attend the delegate orientation meeting.
Respectfully submitted,
