2.597, 2.598, 2.599 - New bylaws adopted in Res. 5-06 for the Commission on Worship.
2.603- Board of Governors. Change the last sentence to read: "They shall serve a maximum of
two six-year terms." (Res. 2-21A)
2.611- Incorporation. New subparagraphs concerning Concordia Publishing House were adopted
in Res. 2-09.
2.621- Incorporation. Add an additional paragraph from Res. 4-03, setting forth the complicated
mathematical formula for the membership of the Lutheran Church Extension Fund-Missouri Synod
2.652- Functions. In paragraph a the new legal names should be substituted: "Concordia
Disability and Survivor Plan" and "Concordia Retirement Plan" should be inserted.
2.656- The new legal name should be used here also

2.731- Planning Council. New bylaw adopted in Res. 4-01A.
2.801- Description of Appointing or Employing Authorities. This bylaw was extensively
amended in Res. 5-16.
2.803- Tenure and Termination. Subparagraph a was amended in Res. 5-16.
2.945- Solicitation of Suggestions for Candidates and
2.947- Functions. After some discussion the Commission decided that these two bylaws should
be introduced with the footnote "*Appendix." In line with Res. 5-25A it was decided to
place the following wording into the Appendix: "Although the 1983 convention agreed to
adopt changes in Bylaws 2.945 and 2.947 on a “trial basis," it did not, in fact, amend the
bylaws to incorporate these changes. The Commission on Constitutional Matters has
ruled that the changes printed below shall be in effect for the 1983-1986 triennium only."
At that point the new wording suggested for 2.945 and 2.947 in Res. 5-25A would be
incorporated in the Appendix.
3.29 - Synodical Representation. (Correct the typo which had omitted the n in "synodical.")
3.125- In view of Res. 5-43, which allowed Districts to permit elected board members to serve
six years if a District so desires, and in view of the fact -that the officers and the
appointed boards and commissions would still be limited to a three-year term, the
Commission decided that Bylaw 3.125, Term and Tenure, should be. rewritten with also
a new major heading as follows:
H. NOMINATIONS, ELECTIONS, 'AND APPOINTMENTS
3.125 Term and Tenure
a. Terms of office shall be as follows:
