The district and its secretary are thanked for this submission and requested to submit for the commission’s
approval a revised draft addressing at least the required issues above and making any other clarifications or
changes that seem appropriate.
53. Adjunct Seminary Faculty (24-3031)
By an email of May 17, a congregation of the Synod requested an opinion in response to four questions
concerning the appointment of adjunct seminary faculty. The commission requested, under Bylaw

continuing its drafting and discussion to its next meeting.
54. Review of Higher Education Governance Documents (23-3023)
The Secretary noted development of files on the commission’s portal in which commission members may
accumulate comments on the various higher education governing documents, in hope of making progress
on its comprehensive review process. The commission looks to continue its review with the Bylaws of
Concordia University Wisconsin.
55. Review and Revision, Congregational Constitution and Bylaw Guidelines (23-3019)
The Secretary noted his assistant is collating materials received in preparation for the commission’s work
on this extensive project.
56. Plan for Next Meeting
The commission has scheduled an in-person meeting in St. Louis on December 6–7 and may schedule an
interim Zoom meeting as needed to continue its work on higher education governance documents and to
address other business, including review of district bylaw proposals.

The agenda being concluded, the commission adjourned.
