RESOLUTIONS 159

Christ and His cross are at the center of our church’s
social-ministry programs; and

WHEREAS, The brochure identifies the 12 points of
emphasis of our own church as well as the 10 inter-
Lutheran social-ministry programs in which we are
involved; and

WHEREAS, The brochure can be helpful in acquaint-
ing and sensitizing our members to human needs and in
motivating our faith to action in behalf of hurting
people; therefore be it

Resolved, That our parishes be encouraged to utilize
“Christ and Social Ministry in Our Lutheran Church”
in adult Bible classes, youth Bible classes, confirmation
classes, upper grades in our Christian day schools, topic
studies for parish auxiliary organizations, upper classes
of our LCMS terminal schools, inserts for parish bulle-
tins, and in any other way that would inform and
inspire the congregation to be better equipped for
service to Christ and His people.
