RESOLUTIONS 133

Resolved, That the Board for Higher Education be
instructed to elevate salaries to a level commensurate
with the suggested salary scale and benefits as recom-
mended for parish pastors in the respective Districts in
which the synodical institutions are located.

Action: Adopted (10).

To Seek New Name
for Concordia Welfare Plan

RESOLUTION 4-29
WHEREAS, Confusion has been generated by the

name of the “Concordia Welfare Plan”; therefore be it

Resolved, That the Board of Managers—Worker
Benefit Plans be authorized to study, recommend
and/or implement plans to rename the “Concordia
Welfare Plan” as the “Concordia Health Plan” or
“Concordia Medical Plan” or “Concordia Assurance
Plan” or some similar name to be chosen by that
agency and report their findings and actions to the 1981
convention of the Synod.
