WHEREAS, Our Television Board's detailed evaluation in formal consulta- tion with recognized leaders of the television industry indicates that a broader and more effective impact, better time slots, and more exposure could result by refurbishing THIS IS THE LIFE, increasing its promotion, and producing a full (26) complement of episodes annually, and that produc- tion of specials like CHRISTMAS IS should also be given high priority; therefore be it RESOLVED, That the Synod in convention give praise and thanks to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ for His rich blessing upon THIS IS THE LIFE, CHRISTMAS IS, and the whole television ministry of our Church; and be it further RESOLVED, That the Synod encourage and authorize an expanded use of television as a mission medium through the adoption of the three-year work plan here following as developed and submitted by the Television Board as a part of this resolution, and be it finally RESOLVED, That as an expression of its strong interest in television as a key ministry in the mission of the Church, the Synod ask its Board of Directors to set aside the budget allocations required to carry out the provisions of the appended three-year plan.
