May our gracious Father alert us to our own needs
and the needs of others as we begin this convention. May
the confession, “Jesus Christ is Lord,” come from the

heart as well as from the tongue. May the Holy Spirit
guide and direct us in every way to God-pleasing solu-
tions to past and present problems, and may He open
doors for us to future challenges (Acts 14:27). Amen.
