The St.Louis Board also has had before it during the last 4 years, and prior, articles published by the faculty members in the faculty's official journal, and else- where; and Wuereas, The St. Louis Board, according to a decision of its majority. has on several occasions (the last being Feb. 13) exonerated the faculty of Concordia Seminary; and Wuereas, The St. Louis Board at its meeting in February 1973 found it impossible to come to a unanimous decision on the doctrinal soundness of nearly all of the members of the faculty; and Wuereas, The St.Louis Board as now constituted, has shown itself to be incompetent or unwilling to handle the problem of the teaching of false doctrine and of the failure to teach pure Biblical and Lutheran doctrine, espoused to by the LCMS, as outlined in the constitution and reaffirmed by synodical resolution; and Wuereas, The LCMS has been more than patient and loving in dealing with the St.Louis Board and its failures; therefore be it Resolved, That for the sake of the congregations who are the members of The Lutheran Church — Missouri Synod, that the Board of Control of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Mo., be immediately dismissed; and be it further Resolved. That The Lutheran Church — Missouri Synod direct the President of the Synod to appoint an interim Board of Control to be responsible directly to him for the next 2 years: and be it finally Resolved, That the President of the Synod make a report to the next convention of The Lutheran Church — Missouri Synod on the progress at Concordia Seminary in removing false doctrine and in assuring that the true doctrine is being taught there once again.
