Only in exceptional cases shall this amount be paid by the District Boards of Support. 2) This tuition-money shall be invested in sound securities, yielding at least 414% interest, and the interest is to be reinvested semiannually. The amounts paid in by such as discontinue their studies or do not enter the service of the Church within five years after graduation from the seminaries or normal schools shall be paid into the Synodical Treasury. 3) At the age of sixty-five the annuitant shall be paid either an annuity for life or a last-survivor annuity for himself and wife, both based upon annuity tables in general use. 4) A person in the service of the Church may after his gradua- tion contribute to this fund further sums of money, which shall be credited to his account, and thus raise the amount of the annuity.
