Pastor Luke, who is the editor of our Sunday-school literature, is the man for the place; this he has once more shown by putting out this ideal series of Bible-stories for beginners. The stories are written in the language of four-year-olds. Each lesson brings also a special mes- sage to fathers and mothers, giving directions how to teach the lesson; this message is also intended for the teachers, no doubt. The selections are most happy. Page one of each folder brings a beautifully colored picture; page two tells the story, which is followed by a number of questions on the lesson; on page three is found the memory work, sometimes a prayer, sometimes a hymn set to music, and then again a Bible-verse or a drawing for coloring; page four has another colored picture and the message for par- ents. We hope that the publishers will decide to bring out these lessons in permanent form. May this series of at- tractive and helpful lessons find thousands of users!
