Vol. 1V: Our China Missions. Concordia Publishing House, St. Louis, Mo. Price, 30 cts. This well-written and profusely illustrated missionary booklet tells about the work done at Hankow by the Mis- souri Lutherans. The chapters are short, the language is simple, the descriptions and narratives are vivid. On its forty-eight pages the booklet brings no less than forty- eight pictures. And every one of these pictures actually illustrates too. The reviewer has only one objection to offer — there aren’t enough pages in the book! : Magazin fuer ev.-luth. The Homiletic Magazine is a professional publication for pastors. The December (1926) number completed the fiftieth volume of this publication.
