Alston and his faithful members, and also many friends, for the royal way in which they entertained Conference. And we sincerely hope to go lo Mount Pleasant again. Conference adjourned Sunday afternoon, after Rey. Hill had, in a few well-chosen words, thanked the pastor loci, members and friends, with the sing- ing of “God Be With You,” to convene next year, if no change is made, in Charlotte, N. C., ai St. Paul’s Church. May God continue to send His blessings to the members and friends of Immanuel Conference! . ROL TL. —-= 3s Items of Interest from Our Colored Mission Field. Rev. N. J. Bakke, the Superintendent of our Colored Mission, has removed, with his family, from Cincinnati to St. Louis, in order that he may be in closer touch with the Mission Board and may more conveniently attend iis meetings. Rey. Bakke is still far from being a well man, his broken limb still giving him much trouble. Despite this fact, however, he takes advantage of everys possible oc- casion to present the cause of our Colored Mission to the people. About a month ago he visited the editor, not for recreation, but to deliver two ad- dresses on Colored Missions. A few weeks ago he spoke on the same subject at a large missionary meeting in St. Louis. Mr. “Unknown,” that true friend of our Mis- sion, again visited ‘Treasurer Doederlein the last week in August. The object. of his visit was the same as that of all his previous visits; upon leay- ing he left $500.00 in the hands of the treasurer. Farier Waurke has also again proved his in- terest in our Mission by donating the sum of $300.00. God bless him for his good deed, and graciously reward him and all friends, known and unknown, of our work among our colored fellow- men. : New On.eans News. — Mr. Arthur Berger was installed as teacher at Mount Zion by Rey.
