Kennell; Chairman, Board of Control Alabama Lutheran Academy-College had reason for rejoicing when, in Convention assembled, on July 31 and August 1, 1957, the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, meeting at Minneap- olis, Minn., voted as one of its projects the erection of a girls’ dormitory upon the Academy campus. Additional dormitory space has been needed for the past years, but because of the pressing nature of other needs (an administration~classroom-library build- ing), consideration of a girls’ dormitory had to be put aside. The $85,000 granted by the LWML will soon bring to reality a needed addition to the campus buildings. We are most grateful to the LWML for this gift. a. Congregations and individuals throughout the country have been:most generous in their. remembrances of the Academy. Gifts from Ohio, Wisconsin, Georgia, Maryland, Minnesota, Iowa, Mis- souri, and. Illinois were sent to aid the school:.in one way or another. Cos bya
