W. Huge’s serious illness, it has been impossible to bring the audit down to June 30, 1950, as called for in the convention’s resolution.) Having made the regular examination of. the books and records of the Missionary Board of the Lutheran Synodical Conference for the fiscal year ended June 30, 1949, this is to certify that the financial statements following these comments were found in agreement with the books and records, and that these schedules, in my opinion, also reasonably reflect the financial standing of the Department. This is the Colored Mission work which is carried on jointly in the United States and in Africa by the four Lutheran Synods constituting the Synodical Conference: A separate audit report, as of June 30, 1949, on Immanuel Lutheran College, Greensboro, N.C., which is subsidized and supervised by this: Board, was submitted under date of August 15, 1949. A. W. Hucz, Synodical Auditor, Missouri Synod St. Louis, Mo., December 9, 1949 Floor Committee Report on Treasurer’s Report (Committee: Pastor W. F. Sauer; Messrs. Arthur C. Haack, Martin G. Marquardt.) I. We recommend that the convention accept the Treasurer’s mime- ographed report for the fiscal year, July 1, 1949, through June 30, 1950, subject to audit. II. We note with joy a very substantial increase in the Church Ex- pansion Fund and that all Church Extension Loans are on a current basis. This Fund was increased from a total of $135,344.11, June 30, 1948, to its present level of $211,988.88 as of June 30, 1950. III, We call attention to the increased Budget Expenditures for Do- mestic Missions from $88,323.63 in 1938—39 to $171,482.16 in 1949—50. These increases have. practically doubled our expenditures over a period of approximately ten years, primarily for increases in salaries for our workers and for expansion.
