The Evangelical Lutheran *Synodalkonferenz* [Synodical Conference] of North America
held its thirtieth convention from 18 to 23 August 1926
in Trinity Church (Rev. Herm. Meier) at Lockport, N. Y.

The opening sermon was preached by Rev. G. E. Bergemann, President of the Joint
Ev. Luth. Synod of Wisconsin and Other States, on Is. 43:1.
On Monday evening, in the closing service, which was combined with the celebration of the Holy
Communion, Rev. H. Meyer, President of the Minnesota District of the Missouri Synod,
preached on John 14:23. The confessional address
was given by Rev. Karl Schmidt of Chicago on 1 Kings 19:7.

On Sunday afternoon a mass meeting, in which the neighbouring congregations took part,
was held in the Palace Theater of the city. The theme of the addresses was the work
of the Synodical Conference. Addresses were given by Dr. P. E. Kretzmann of St. Louis and Rev. Paul E.
Horn of Morgan, Minn.

In all, eight sessions were held. The doctrinal discussions took place in the mornings and were
led by Prof. J. P. Köhler of the seminary of the Wisconsin Synod.

On Wednesday, at half past two in the afternoon, the convention organized itself by recognizing
the accredited delegates and by electing the officers. The following accredited delegates were
