# Synodical Conference Convention Proceedings_St. Louis Missouri_1920_S22 # AI translation — CHI Digital Archive (demonstration) 22 Proceedings of the twenty-seventh convention The following application for admission lay before the *Synodalkonferenz* [Synodical Conference]: [Printed in English.] Milwaukee, Wis., August 19, 1920. To the Evangelical Lutheran Synodical Conference of North America: — The minutes of the annual meeting of the Norwegian Synod of the American Evangelical Lutheran Church held 1919 contain the following resolution under the caption, “The Synod's Relation to the Synodical Conference”: “The Synod shall make application for admission into the Synodical Conference, and shall elect representatives to attend its next meeting.” As representatives elected by this meeting of the Synod it becomes our privilege in behalf of the Norwegian Synod to present this application to renew the fraternal relations with your worthy body, which were severed in the early eighties of last century. Synodical Conference: 1. that "Die Norwegiſche Synode der Amerikaniſchen Ev.⸗Luth. Kirche" [The Norwegian Synod of the American Ev. Lutheran Church] be received as a member of the Synodical Conference; 2. that we greet these brethren with great joy, encourage them in their struggle for the truth, and wish them God's rich blessing for the future; 3. that we must recognize that "Die Synode für die Norwegiſche Ev.⸗Luth. Kirche Amerikas" (The Synod for the Norwegian Ev. Lutheran Church of America) has, to our great regret, by its holding fast to the "Opgjör"
