Synodalkonferenz von Nordamerika. 1920. 19 Conference at Toledo in 1916. Our committee is ready to answer any specific charges that may be brought against it because of this report. We suggest that the proper time to discuss this matter would be at our forthcoming meeting. “In order that no false construction may be put on our action, we wish to advise you that we have been requested to meet at St. Paul with a number of our Norwegian brethren who desire a conference with us. Our commission from the Synodical Conference, both at Milwaukee in 1914 and at Toledo in 1916, instructs us to heed such requests.” Derſelbe lautet: “We were sorry to hear that Dr. H. G. Stub again has declared that he will not have time to meet the committee from the Synodical Conference before the Synod meeting. “Those of us who cannot go along in the new church-body on the present doctrinal basis feel that it would be a great help to our cause if your committee could be present at the Synod in St. Paul, Minn., June 6—9. Olsen, L. P. Jensen, H. Ingebritson, J. A. Torgerson, and E. Hanson. “These and a number of other ministers and laymen will meet for consultation at 8 P. M., June 5, in Rooms 224—6 Aberdeen Hotel, St. Paul. “There would be many more joining in this invitation, but I have not had a chance to consult them since I heard of Dr. Stub being short of time to meet your committee. (Signed.) “C. N. PETERSON.”
