Conventions shall be conducted in the St. Louis area, with the understanding that consideration may be given by a previous convention to other areas upon special request. c. Prior to submitting an invitation . . . (wording of present b) 2.136 Election of Other Vice-Presidents - In view of new Bylaw 2.125, c, paragraph "b" of 2.136 is not necessary. The Commission therefore decided to eliminate it and therefore also to eliminate the letter "a" introducing the first paragraph. 2.175 On the basis of Res. 4-02A-2 it was decided to eliminate the Controller of the Synod from the Council of Administrators and not to make any substitution for him. The president of the District to which a candidate is to be assigned shall be consulted and his suggestions and recommendations shall be part of the final recommendation to the plenary Board of Assignments. 4.39 Reinstatement - In the light of Res. 7-14 the Commission decided to restate the last sentence: "If the applicant is reinstated, the District president shall announce this fact in an official periodical of the Synod." 4.45 Membership in the Synod - In view of new Bylaw 1.03 the Commission resolved to eliminate paragraph "b" and to drop the letter "a" in troducing the first paragraph. 4.59 Publication of Applicant's Request - Again in view of Res. 7-14 the wording was changed to "in an official periodical of the Synod;" also in 4.79, c, 4.95, 4.104, 4.106, b, 4.81, b, 2. 6.91, d - Res. 6-24 had adopted new wording for this paragraph. He shall be the academic head of the faculty and preside at its meetings. With the exception of the standing hearings committee or of another standing committee to which the functions of such a committee have been assigned, he shall be an ex-officio member of the standing committees of the faculty and of its instructional divisions or departments. 10.07 Concordia Survivor Plan - On the basis of a letter from Earl Haake, dated June 13, 1977, calling attention to the fact that this paragraph was in error, the Commission resolved to change the last words of the paragraph to read: "Concordia Survivor Plan" instead of "Retirement" Plan. 10.22 Resolution 4-11 had adopted an introductory paragraph for this section. The Commission resolved to give it a number 10.22 and the title "Definition."
