F. Schuricht, the Synod's faithful and long-serving treasurer, had just begun the above treasurer's report, the Lord of the Church laid him on his deathbed, and the report had to be completed several weeks after his passing, by a friend's hand, from his books. This report covering the triennium could therefore not first be submitted to the treasury-audit committee. But since all the balances are, and must be, the same as those in the annual report of January 1, 1914, which was before the auditor at his last audit, the auditor's report also covers this summary for the triennium. St. Louis, Mo., April 13, 1914. G. H. Runge, Treasurer pro tem. Committee report. We have been assured by Mr. Wm. Schlake that the books of our Synod's treasurer, now fallen asleep in the Lord, have been examined and found correct, and that the securities have been delivered to the acting treasurer. — Report accepted. In honored memory. By unanimous resolution — with the assembly rising — the great convention honored the memory of its treasurer J. F. Schuricht, who had entered into blessed rest, and who served the Synod for many years without pay, with excellent wisdom, outstanding skill, great faithfulness, and conscientiousness. 10 [The left margin of this page carries a series of pencilled Arabic-numeral figures ($127.58, $1,708.67, $1,581.09, $15,454.97, 25,991.39, $41,146.36, 994.57, $40,451.79) in a modern hand — evidently a later reader's or auditor's reconciliation notes keyed to lines of this table, not part of the printed text; see finds file.] [Signature at the foot of the page: "10" — a printer's sheet signature, not a folio.]
