To be sure, our trade has expanded quite handsomely; but if our contributions to the Reverend Synod are to exceed our present maximum in the future — and no one wishes that more than we do — then that increase must be built on expanded and enlarged sales, since, with the best will in the world, we can now expect no further significant savings in production costs, but rather the opposite.
