Resolved, that the district representatives of the various missions shall be chosen by the individual mission commissions.


Constitutional Matters.

All petitions relating to the mode of electing professors and to the functions of the board of control were disposed of by the adoption of the following regulation:

Regulation for the Electoral Colleges and the Boards of Control.

I. Electoral Colleges.

1. The electoral colleges for the gymnasiums [preparatory schools] shall be composed of the General President, or one of the General Vice-Presidents, the board of control of the gymnasium in question with one collective vote, and five persons, of whom, where possible, two shall be chosen from adjoining districts.

2. The electoral colleges for the seminaries shall be composed of the General President, or one of the Vice-Presidents, the board of control of the seminary in question with one collective vote, and five persons chosen by the General Synod itself from its own midst
