146 Proceedings of the 28th General or

...employees, we nevertheless also acknowledge with sincere thanks to God our obligations to our honored editors and authors, especially also to the venerable faculty of Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, and to our valued customers.

Shortly after the 1908 Delegate Synod we elected to the Board of Directors Mr. H. Ellermann in place of Mr. W. Gilster, whom the Synod had appointed but who was unable to serve. In place of Mr. H. Lührmann, who resigned, Mr. R. Leonhardt was elected.

The terms of the following gentlemen have expired: J. Schüssler, H. W. Wichmann, and R. Leonhardt.

A glance at our activity may be given by the following list of our publications, and yet we must confess that we have not done justice to all the tasks set before us. Still unfinished are the school Bible and the catechism in the newest orthography. We hope to have both books ready by 1912. The planned revision of the German readers has not yet come about, since no approved manuscript was delivered to us by the responsible synodical committee.
