Leadership for Global Outreach

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you;
and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and
Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8).

LCMS World Mission provides leadership for dynamic global
Gospel outreach. That leadership begins with the Board for Mis-
sion Services. The members of the Board set policy, approve the
vision and objectives, and select the of LCMS World Mission staff.

The members of the Board for Mission Services:

« Rev. Donald Bendewald

¢ Rev. Warren H. Davis

¢ Dr. Betty Duda

¢ Mr. Herman W. Jensen

* Rev. James P. Johnson (chair)
* Dr. Laurence Meissner

¢ Dr. Emily Moore

¢ Gen. John W. Vessey Jr.

Advisory members:
¢ Mr. Al Waldron
¢ Dr. Gloria Edwards
* Dr. John Johnson .
¢ Dr. Dean Wenthe

Executive Director of LCMS World Mission:
¢ Dr. Glenn O’Shoney

Almost every LCMS World Mission staff member has mission
experience. Their role is to equip and support those who serve God
on the front lines of His mission; to incorporate the service of mis-
sion societies and congregations into the mission effort; and to in-
form and involve LCMS members in God’s mission to reach all
people, even to the ends of the earth.

It is clear that the Lord has graciously given His church more
time in order to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all people
groups. “And this Gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the
whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will
come” (Matt. 24:14). LCMS World Mission does not work alone.
Every LCMS member has a role in fulfilling God’s mission.

God is doing much more through LCMS World Mission than
this brief report can convey. LCMS World Mission invites you to
