Such Standing Rules of the convention supersede any rules in the parliamentary authority with which they may conflict. (Page 13) The following Standing Rules of the convention are therefore offered for the consideration of and adoption by the convention: l. The chair shall, at the opening of each session, announce the order of business to come before the convention. The Agenda as printed in Today’s Business shall normally be followed. 2. Each delegate addressing the convention shall, when recognized by the chair, state his name and the District or board which he represents. . Reports of synodical boards, commissions, or com- mittees published in the Convention Workbook shall not be recommended to the convention 1) to be received (since this is meaningless in the case of printed reports); or 2) to be accepted or adopted, unless the intention is that the convention endorse the entire re- port including its wording and its reasonings. Note: Recommendations contained in the re- ports are the responsibility of the respective floor committees. . A point of order may be raised only by a voting delegate. The chair shall not allow an individual member to abuse his right to the annoyance of the assembly. . Unless covered by these Standing Rules of the convention parliamentary procedure shall be gov- erned by Robert’s Rules of Order, Newly Revised (1970 edition). aera nie Atm SOE ME vwommy i i x i i } & ' : i é i £ : f [ i 4 see ae a
