NOMINATIONS R10-01 Report on Nominations for President, First Vice-President, and Other Vice-Presidents Bylaws 3.12.1–3.12.1.6 establish our Synod’s process for receiving nominations and determining five candidates each for the offices of President and First Vice-President and 20 candidates for the offices of Vice-Presidents two through five. During October 2009, each voting congregation of the Synod received its official nominating ballots and the opportunity to nominate ordained ministers to each office. The official deadline for the return of these nominating ballots was March 10, 2010. The Office of the Secretary, with the approval of the Board of Directors of the Synod, engaged the auditing firm of Brown Smith Wallace to tabulate the nominations.
