To Ministers of the Gospel in the Performance of Their Wider Ministry RESOLUTION 3-25 Unprinted Memorial 322 B, pp. 59, 60, Today’s Business Your committee, in consultation with the District President concerned, has been assured that the subject matter of Memorial 322B has received official attention and is under continuing review. In view of this action the committee is making no direct recommendations in response to this memorial. Nevertheless, Memorial 322B prompts us to think of the many opportunities of the Synod’s ministers of the Gospel to bear witness in the world of journalism, through other mass media of communication, and on public platforms. The Synod rejoices in this and thanks God for the faithful witness of many. In presenting the following resolution, your committee is mindful of con- cerns expressed also by our overseas brethren. Wuereas, The world, both secular and religious, judges our Synod’s doctrinal position largely by the preaching, teaching, lecturing, and literary productions of the Synod’s ministers of the Gospel; therefore be it Resolved, That the Synod encourage all its ministers of the Gospel in the performance also of the wider ministry noted above to discharge their obligation to give a clear witness to the grace and glory of God by responsibly representing our Savior, the truth of the Holy Scriptures, and our Synod. Action: This resolution was adopted.
