E. That we thank all officers of Synod and its boards, com-
mittees, and departments for the part they played in preparing
for, and in guiding, the convention;

F. That we thank the radio and television stations and their
personnel for their excellent co-operation in publicizing and inter-
preting our discussions and resolutions;

G. That we thank the members of the press for their wide
and accurate news coverage of our convention;

H. That we thank the mayor of the city of San Francisco
and its officials for their good wishes and their hospitality;

I. That we thank the railroads who have co-operated in pro-
viding adequate transportation facilities;

J. That we thank all other individuals, groups, and organiza-

tions for their efforts to provide satisfactory and comfortable
accommodations for this convention.

Creating a Library of Ecumenical Information

Wuereas, The availability of direct and reliable information
concerning the growing and controversial ecumenical develop-
ment in the Christian world has become very important for first-
hand study of the theology, organization, and activity of the various
federations; therefore be it

Resolved:

1. That the Committee on Doctrinal Unity establish a Library
of Ecumenical Information and supply information from sources
directly connected with the ecumenical movement on a regular
and request basis to editors of periodicals and to other individuals
and groups in our church;

2. That the Committee on Doctrinal Unity assist conferences
of pastors and teachers in the study of the ecumenical movement
by making available official publications and periodicals of ecumen-
ical groups to them;

3. That the necessary budgetary requests for this special work
of the Committee on Doctrinal Unity be referred to the Fiscal
Conference for favorable action.
