RESOLUTIONS — COMMITTEE 11

Resolved, That this convention petition every congregation of
the Synod to inform its District President no later than Feb. 1 of
each fiscal year concerning the amount it has agreed upon for its
own work through the Synod in that given year,

Action: This resolution was adopted.

Use of Convention Filmstrip and Recording

Wuereas, Our congregations should be fully and immediately
informed of the Synod’s future plans which their delegates have
decided upon by resolution at this convention, particularly those
convention reports and resolutions that have to do with the for-
ward march of the Synod into all the world, and all that this will

imply in their adequate support of this God-directed program in
the future; and

Wuereas, The Stewardship Department plans to prepare and
to send to each congregation and each synodical school late this
summer a full kit of materials, including a filmstrip of this con-
vention with pertinent recordings; therefore be it

Resolved, That our District. Presidents urge the voting body
of each congregation to see and discuss this filmstrip and related
materials in a special October voters’ meeting called for this
purpose; and be it further ,

Resolved, That the convention urge every congregation to show
this filmstrip this fall to the entire membership and to its societies
and educational agencies.

Resolved, That the projection of the synodical program 1960 to
1965, found on pages 584 and 585 of Reports and Memorials, be
approved as a guideline for the Fiscal Conference in preparing
the annual synodical budget for the next six years, and as a guide-
line for the Boards in Synod in planning our church’s worldwide
Kingdom building program for the immediate future.

Action: This resolution was adopted.
